About the Event
The Lower Laguna Madre Young Birders Club aims to connect youth with nature through birding with a goal to build an environmentally conscious future while having lots of fun!
Join us as we focus on Shorebird Migration and Biodiversity as we take part in celebrating World Shorebirds Day!
During this Shorebirds tour we will set out to see and enjoy as many species of shorebirds along our wetlands from our boardwalk trail! We'll take time to observe their habits and behaviors and we will discuss their incredible migrations and the need for healthy ecosystems for their conservation.
We will finish the guided tour at 10:45am so that participants may attend our feature presentation for the morning starting at 11am in our visitor center; "Shorebird Conservation on the Texas Coast" presented by our local Coastal Bird Conservation Biologist, Justin LeClaire, with the Coastal Bend & Bays Estuaries Program. (No registration is required to attend the presentation)

We invite youth (9-15 years of age) to be part of the club and enjoy a morning of birding with us! Parents and guardians are welcome to participate with paid general admission and do not need to register. Thank you.
If you are already an official club member, please email Naturalist Javier Gonzalez at naturalist@spibirding.com, to be added to the registration roster. Thank you.
