About the Event
The Lower Laguna Madre Young Birders Club aims to connect youth with nature through birding, to build an environmentally conscious future, while having lots of fun!
Spring migration is the most exciting time of year at our center! Hundreds of colorful migrants rely on our native gardens and wetlands as a critical stopover site where they can rest and refuel to continue on their northward migration. This month's program will raise awareness on the importance of quality habitat for migratory birds and what else we can do to assist migratory birds through their journeys.
The program will start with a 30-minute presentation followed by a 2-hour tour of our boardwalk and gardens.
We invite youth (9-15 years of age) to be part of the club and enjoy a morning of birding with us!
