About the Event
Explore the amazing bird life of South Padre Island with a relaxed morning stroll on our boardwalk! Wander through stunning tidal wetlands and a peaceful freshwater oasis with our Naturalist Educators leading the way.
It's winter on the Laguna Madre area and bird diversity and number has doubled, nearly tripled, as northern birds settle into our area for the season alongside our resident species. There are plenty of coastal birds to see and nice weather to enjoy!
Tours are limited to 10 participants. Sanitized binoculars are loaned during the tour.
Birding Tours at this time are limited to students above 13 years of age as well as adults and seniors.
Notice: The second half of our boardwalk will be closed for the month as we undergo phase 1 of our freshwater wetland restoration project. Please see the notice on our home page for more details. For this reason, the guided tour fee is "half-off".
Ticket includes a $5 discounted guided tour fee and a discounted $7 admission fee.
