Wildlife Adventure: Earn Your Animal Observer Badge!

Girl Scouts will participate in a guided bird tour that introduces them to the unique wildlife of South Padre Island. The experience includes one hour of observing and learning about local birds and alligators, followed by an interactive “I Spy” birding activity. Participants will also take a closer look at species such as the roseate spoonbill or great blue heron, depending on what is observed during the tour.

This program supports progress toward earning the Animal Observer Badge while encouraging curiosity, observation skills, and appreciation for nature. Event limited to 15 participants. Register now!

Levels: Daisy (Grades K–1)

Cost: $25 per Girl Scout

• Includes a South Padre Island Birding, Nature Center & Alligator Sanctuary patch

• Girl Scouts will receive a certificate of completion recognizing their progress toward the Animal Observer Badge (badge not included)

• Troops must provide at least one adult leader or volunteer

• Parents/guardians attending independently may attend at a discounted rate of $10
