About the Event

Girl Scouts will first be given a tour by our master naturalist of our local plants and butterfly garden. They will also learn about where certain plants can grow in proximity to each other and the importance of planting local plants for the birds and bugs. They will then be provided with local plant seeds to choose from, individual flowering pots and soil. The wildlife educator will then remind the participants of the needs of plants and how to maintain their mini garden. They will also be able to decorate their pots with paints, jewels and fairy dust!
